Double Cartridge Seals |

We manufacture and supply double cartridge seal made from finest quality material and made with precision. It is suitable for pumps with shallow stuffing boxes.
In this seal cartridge is mounted with one seal inside the stuffing box and one seal on outside and both seals rotate against common or separate stationary inserts.
The face to face arrangement can be used as double seal. When the liquid between seals is at higher pressure than the product in stuffing box, the inner seal gets lubricated by sealing liquid which creates an artificial environment for the mechanical seal which is true role of double seal. If the liquid is circulated between the seals at a lower pressure then the equipment stuffing box pressure. The purpose of the inner seal is same as any single seal and outer seal simply serves as a backup.
The double face cartridge assembly is compact, easy to install and can be bench tested by using air as a barrier fluid.
The weakness of this seal is that it exposes inner seal to abrasive or corrosive materials.
